Zebras Lead Authorities on Wild Chase after Escaping from Pumpkin Patch

In a pursuit that involved two law enforcement agencies, a pair of zebras managed to outrun authorities in suburban Chicago for more than two hours. That’s according to a rep for Illinois State Police, who says the wild chase occurred over the weekend in Pinegree Grove after the zebras broke out of a pen at Goebbert’s Pumpkin Patch.

Despite being pursued by a bevy of officers from the State Police and the Pinegree Grove Police Department, the zebras stayed one step ahead of their pursuers until about 7:30 Sunday evening, authorities say. The zebras, which weren’t injured, have been returned to the pumpkin patch.
